Kasur, picking cotton, searching for pests continues for another 15 days after opening 50% of the tendrils.
The Ministry of Agriculture has ordered cotton growers to continue picking cotton and searching for pests for another 15 days after 50% of the tendrils have flowered. Deputy Director of Agriculture Department (Extension), Qasur Muhammad Akram Tahir said that due to climatic and environmental changes, moisture has started at night, so farmers should avoid picking cotton early in the morning.
He said the cotton picking process should start around 11:00 am so that moisture does not remain in the cotton. He said that the export of cotton thus obtained can fetch the best price in the world market. And to continue the process of searching for pests on the late grown crop for at least 15 to 20 days, because the pressure of the pest on the crop increases due to the current weather conditions, after October 15 due to the onset of winter, there is no need to search for pests.
