The Sindh government has written a letter to the Election Commission to postpone the elections for 3 months, saying that if the municipal elections in Karachi are not postponed, they should be held in phases.
The post said that in the first phase, the municipal elections should be held in 3 constituencies and in the second in 4 constituencies, as security personnel are not available in the required number in the current situation.
A letter from the Sindh government said that transparent and peaceful elections will not be possible unless the required number of security personnel is available.
