In the southern part of the country, including Karachi, it was not possible to fully restore electricity. According to media reports, the work to restore transmission continues, citing sources, it was reported that the power outage in the entire country reached 7 thousand 932 megawatts, the demand for electricity is 24 thousand megawatts, while electricity from various sources is produced 16 thousand 68 megawatts, due to a short fall, the relief period was extended in various cities of the country.

 Thermal plants generate 50% of electricity and 10 generating units of Tarbela Dam are shut down.

 The Ministry of Energy and Production claimed to restore electricity to the entire country. A statement issued by the Ministry of Energy and Production said that the electricity transmission system has been fully restored across the country, the outage in 2 500kV lines south of Karachi has been cleared this morning. Electricity has since been restored in the country and at the same time the supply of electricity from alternative sources is increasing and will soon return to normal.


 Due to major fault in the country, many areas are still without power, electricity supply is still suspended to most cities of Sindh, Balochistan and Punjab. The routine life of citizens was severely affected. It was learned that a four-member committee has been set up to investigate the issue of power outage in the country, the committee will be headed by GM Technical, the committee includes GM North, Chief Engineer, SG North and Chief Operations Engineer. Yes, the NTDC committee will investigate the matter and submit a report within four days.
