The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has disqualified former Prime Minister and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan in Tosh Khan's reference filed against him, due to which former Prime Minister Imran Khan is no longer a member of the National Assembly. . Sheikh Rasheed along with senior leadership of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf are also attending the meeting. The election commission's decision is discussed at a meeting. According to media reports, Imran Khan said that the same decision was expected from the Election Commission. He said the current electoral commission is the B team of the PDM.

The Election Commission will consult Imran Khan's lawyers on the decision. A four-member panel of the Election Commission on Friday unanimously decided that legal action will be initiated against Imran Khan if he is involved in corrupt practices. The reference to the House was sent to the election commission by the President of the National Assembly at the request of 5 members of the ruling alliance, which was decided on September 19. There was also a reference in the federal capital in connection with Tosh Khan's judgment.
A large contingent of policemen has been deployed in view of a possible protest by PTI workers. Before the verdict, PTI leader Fawad Chaudhry Asad Umar stepped on the wall of the Election Commission. Keeping in view the security measures at the Election Commission, Rangers, FC and policemen were deployed in large numbers and the Islamabad administration also delivered tear gas cartridges to the Election Commission. The Election Commission had earlier convened an emergency meeting in this regard and the Chief Election Commissioner and all other members of the commission also attended the meeting where they were briefed by the administration on security related issues and measures.
